Assingment post USMC recruiting duty?

We have been on recruiting duty for two years now, and it is time for the monitor to think about issuing orders for next year. My question is poised to those who know, Marines do get pick of duty station after completing recruiting duty correct? My husband was told east coast, west coast or overseas. I recall as a PFC, I had these options. Shouldn’t he rate seeing the T/O and all available billets? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, this has been a very difficult few years. I was forced to short sell a business to move to our RS only to find unemployment at 14% and no viable employment avenues. I was hoping he could use the special assignment capabilities to get us stationed were the chances for employment are greater than none. Additionally, he is in a top heavy specialized MOS.
You guys are great at giving quick responses, Thank you!
Side note he is a SSgt (E-6)

another option? lat move. if he’s too high up to lat-move and being told that theres nowhere for him to go, he needs to keep on that monitor until he gives something up. most monitors put up a hit list. ask your husband to push to see that hit list, or talk to his first sgt if the monitor is still being a pain.
